Master Resilience Trainer – Performance Expert

Digital Consulting Services (DCS) has been providing Master Resilience Trainer – Performance Expert (MRT-PE) specialists to work in the Ready and Resilient Intiative (R2) program for several years.  There are openings for MRT-PEs at multiple sites.

The R2 program provides a systematic way to build resilience and performance enhancement skills in Soldiers, family members, and DA Civilians.  Our Master Resilience Trainer – Performance Expert specialists teach mental skills and techniques to develop the mental and emotional resilience necessary to thrive in an era of overwhelming demands and persistent conflict.  Soldiers benefit from cutting-edge, research-based psychological education that will give them the keys to maintaining resilience in complex and uncertain environments.   

Using applied sport psychology principles, the MRT-PE helps Soldiers become high performing "tactical athletes" and help foster high performing "unit teams" in preparation for, during, and following combat operations.  The MRT-PE teaches performance psychology to promote excellence and efficiency during physical, technical, and tactical training to thrive in an era of crushing demands and persistent conflict.  The MRT-PE also provides tailored education to facilitate Wounded Warriors in their transition back to their units or to civilian life.  Additional information on the role of the MRT-PE is available at: http://www.army.mil/readyandresilient The R2 Training Centers are the satellite locations where  MRT-PEs reside.

MRT-PEs responsibilities include:
  • Attend training exercises and field operations to serve as a performance expert consultant and coach Army Soldiers and Leaders;
  • Provide individual and unit tailored Resilience and Performance Enhancement Training to Warrior Transition Unit Cadre, Soldiers, and their Families;
  • Provide tailored educational programs and workshops to help Army families and DA Civilians achieve success and accomplish personal, professional, and family goals;
  • Utilize simulation and biofeedback to demonstrate performance enhancement principles and to apply performance psychology techniques;
  • Conduct assessment, assist in program evaluation, and support research projects being conducted locally; and
  • Develop and maintain professional development relating to all aspects of performance enhancement, academic proficiency, and Army-related knowledge. 
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Must have experience working with adult clients developing performance enhancement skills, education and training for use in a physical or motor performance arena.  Additional experience can be from executive coaching and working with sports organizations, performing arts, or military teams in team development.
 
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen 
Education:      Masters or PhD is required in performance, sport, cognitive, social or human factors psychology.  Certified Consultant through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology is highly desirable.
